레드카펫에 서기 전 수많은 배우들이 Best Dresser로 뽑히기 위해 고민하듯, 이번 MOI’M Gala 2014: Showtime에 어떤 옷을 입어야 할 지 고민하시는 분들이 많은데요, 그런 분들을 위해 MOI’M에서 유용한 조언과 몇 가지 제안을 드리려고 합니다. 하지만 제일 매력적인 옷은 자신에게 가장 잘 어울리는 옷, 본인이 생각하기에 가장 멋진 옷이라는 사실을 잊지 않으시길 바랍니다!

Just like the many actors who contemplate about what to wear before stepping on the red carpet, many guests of the 2014 MOI’M Gala are probably asking themselves the same thing: What should I wear? That is why MOI’M has decided to provide our guests with some tips on what to wear. Consider these tips when deciding on your outfit, but remember that self-confidence is the most important so be sure to pick something that highlights who you are.

물론 여성 분들은 남성 분들보다 색상이나 디자인 또는 악세서리에 있어 다양한 선택을 하실 수 있습니다. 올 가을 유행하는 색상 중에서도 여성분들을 단연 돋보이게 할 수 있는 색상인 블랙, 골드, 버건디, 아이스 블루, 더스트 로즈등 각각 다른 분위기를 가진 색상의 스타일들을 소개합니다.

We would like to introduce some of the trending colors for this fall: black, gold, burgundy, ice blue, and dusty rose.

Black and Gold

사람들은 블랙을 무난한 색상이라고 생각하지만, 사실 가장 섹시하고 화려한 색상이 블랙입니다. 더불어 블랙과 골드가 만나면 한층 더 글래머러스한 분위기를 연출합니다.

Although most people think that black is the most traditional color, it can actually be thought of as one of the sexiest and glamorous colors. If you also add a splash of gold to black, then you will have a more glamorous outfit.

Burgundy and Red

매혹적인 붉은 색상의 드레스를 원하신다면 채도 높은 레드로 화사함과 섹시함을, 좀 더 낮은 톤의 버건디(burgundy)로는 우아한 분위기의 진면모를 나타내실 수 있습니다.

If you want to try something new and wear an enchanting color, you can wear red for a glamorous and sexy look or a warmer burgundy for an elegant style.

Ice Blue and Dusty Rose

라이트 아이스 블루와 더스티 로즈 처럼 선명함과 그레이 톤이 가미된 색상들은 신비스러우면서도 매우 로맨틱한 분위기를 선보입니다.

If you want an enchanting and romantic style, then try a color that has a transparent and gray tone such as ice blue or dusty rose.

High Heels

여자를 가장 아름답게 만들어 주는 패션의 완성은 역시 하이힐 입니다! 하이힐의 색상은 가방 또는 옷과 매치해도 좋지만 때로는 어떠한 것과도 매치를 하지 않는 것도 좋습니다.

The final point to an outfit is definitely a pair of high heels. Although it is good to match your heels to your bag or outfit, sometimes it is okay to try something different and wear different heels that are not of the same color.

Clutch Bag

레드 카펫에 커다란 가방을 어깨에 메고 서는 것은 금물입니다! 필수 아이템들만 넣을 수 있는 센스있는 클러치 백을 준비하세요. 의상에 톤을 맞추는 것도 좋지만 전체적인 룩이 한 가지 톤이라면 대비되는 색상으로 포인트를 주기에 클러치 백 만한 것이 없습니다.

You can carry a bag that is of the same tone as the rest of your outfit or if your outfit is only one color then you can try carrying a clutch bag of a different color to accentuate your outfit.

Navy and Blue

시크한 연출을 위한 블루나 네이비. 특히 네이비는 때와 장소에 관계 없이 적합하면서도 시크한 연출이 가능합니다.

If you are looking for a chic look, then try wearing navy or blue. Navy is especially appropriate for all situations, whether informal or formal.

Gray

지적이고 도시적이면서도, 다양한 색상의 타이나 악세서리와 함께하면 가장 화려해질 수 있는 수트가 바로 그레이 수트입니다.

A gray suit can be considered very traditional, but it can also stand out with a colorful tie and accessories.

Black

19세기 말 테일 코트로 부터 시작되어 20세기에서는 한층 더 간결해진 디자인의 블랙 턱시도. 화이트 셔츠와 보타이는 지금도 격식을 갖춘 자리에서 많은 셀러브리티들의 사랑을 받고 있습니다. 클래식한 턱시도 차림과 더불어 다른 색상의 타이와 행커치프로 화려하게, 또는 캐주얼한 아이템을 매치해서 다양한 매력을 나타내실 수 있습니다.

If you match a classic tuxedo with a colorful tie and handkerchief or a casual item, you can dress up the common black suit and make it your own.

Tie and Pocket Square

체형과 스타일에 맞는 수트를 찾으셨다면, 그 다음 셔츠와 타이, 행커치프 등으로 자신을 표현 하면 되는데 수트차림에서는 타이 고르는 법만 잘 알아도 다양한 이미지를 효과적으로 연출할 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 무난한 네이비에는 스트라이프나 다양한 체크원단의 셔츠와 함께 니트 소재의 타이로 개성을 살리는 방법도 있고, 그레이 수트에는 내추럴한 질감의 셔츠나 옥스포드 셔츠에 니트를 매치하여 트렌디하면서 지적인 감각을 표현할 수 있습니다. 행커 치프는 넥타이와 세트로 나온 디자인도 좋지만 다른 패턴이나, 색상으로 감각적인 연출을 할 수 있습니다.

As long as you know how to select a tie, you can create a different style. For example, you can wear a knit tie to compliment a navy suit with a checkered shirt or you can wear a gray suit with a linen or oxford shirt and a vest to match. You can wear a handkerchief that is the same color or pattern as your necktie or something that is a bit different.

Watch

턱시도 룩(look)에는 클래식하고 고급스러운 시계를, 조금 더 댄디한 차림을 원하신다면 가죽 소재의 심플한 시계를, 또는 스포츠 시계를 활용해 믹스 매치를 하시는 방법도 강력히 추천합니다.

In terms of watches, you can match a classic watch with a tuxedo, a simple watch if looking for a dandy look, and sports watch if you want to mix and match.

Shoes

언젠가 링컨센터에 오케스트라 공연을 관람하면서 정장차림에 빨간색 스니커즈를 신고 온 젊은 청년의 감각을 동경하며 바라 본 적이 있었습니다. 수트와 어울리는 신발에는 포멀한 스트랩 슈즈뷰터, 가죽 테슬 로퍼, 클래식한 옥스포드 슈즈가 있지만 컨버스나 스니커즈까지 종류에 구애 받지 않는 것이 좋습니다.

Shoes that match a suit include loafers, oxford shoes, and dress shoes; however, you can also try wearing Converse or other types of sneakers for a more casual look.
