Graphic Designer (1)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Creative Team members to brainstorm creative concepts and develop design concepts
- Execute designs based on established style guides and develop detailed design specs for production (i.e. teaser, poster, brochure, website content, etc.)
- Participate in visual design presentations to other staff members as well as external constituents
- Willing to push boundaries to create fun and interesting designs in print and digital for events
- Reports to Creative Team Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
-B.F.A. in any design related field (Graphic Design preferred)
-1+ years of visual design experience
Related Skills & Other Requirements:
- Will be living in the New York City metropolitan area for more than 1 year
- Must be available to work 15-20 hours a week for MOI’M related projects and duties
- Must be in the New York City metropolitan area during summer 2014
- Ability to manipulate image or layout using image editing software
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Apple Keynote
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, presenting to other staff members
- Ability to keep deadlines
- A positive attitude — we value our creative talent, but are open to ideas and suggestions
- Willingness to contribute to the total organization as a team member

- Produces, modifies, and maintains website and Web application user interface
- Works closely with Creative Team designers to turn designs into creative user experiences
- Maintains existing custom WordPress templates
- Reports to Creative Team Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 1+ years of related experience
Related Skills & Other Requirements:
- Will be living in the New York City metropolitan area for more than 1 year
- Must be available to work 15-20 hours a week for MOI’M related projects and duties
- Must be in the New York City metropolitan area during summer 2014
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to contribute to the total organization as a team member
- Visually oriented
- Fluency in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability to keep deadlines
- Ability to understand a design and extend it to areas not defined in a computer
